Not at all. Authgate comes with a setup script that installs everything on a fresh VPS in under 10 minutes. You just need a cheap server and a domain. If you get stuck, I'll help you personally.

A basic VPS (1GB RAM, any provider like Hetzner, DigitalOcean, or Njalla) and a domain pointed to it. The setup script handles the rest: Docker, database, SSL, everything.

Yes. HTTPS is set up automatically. Passwords are hashed. The codebase follows security best practices. And since you control the server, your data never touches third-party infrastructure.

You own the source code. Even if updates stopped tomorrow, your instance keeps running. You can modify, maintain, or extend it yourself. There's no dependency on me.

Yes. You can use Authgate to secure and monetize your own apps - that's exactly what it's for. What you can't do is resell Authgate itself, whether as source code or as a hosted service.
